The Alchemy of Color

I am drawn to spaces that hold quiet strength—ponds, florals, and the subtle life that exists within them. Green has become a constant in my work, not only as a color but as a language. It is renewal, balance, and vitality. I return to it obsessively, allowing it to ground the composition while punctuating the surface with bursts of color that create tension, rhythm, and movement.

Working in oils and pastels, I approach the canvas with immediacy and a sense of movement. My process relies on blending in swift, gestural strokes that recall the tradition of impressionism, yet remain firmly personal in their intent. Through these motions, I am less concerned with representation than with sensation—what it feels like to observe light refracting on water or notice the stillness of a frog poised at the edge of a lily pad.
